In his presentation, Dr Girmachew Adugna highlighted migration trends and the processes/initiatives aimed at regularising and securing migration on the continent. He noted that the linkages between migration and development have received increasing attention in recent decades both within policy circles and the academic literature. Dr Adugna belongs to the Center for Forced Displacement and Migration Studies at the University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
